Today, parents have a lot of choice when it comes to infant formula. It's a good problem to have, but it means families have a lot of information to wade through when choosing a formula.
Ultimately, the best formula is one that your baby likes to drink, keeps her growing and healthy, and one that you feel good about feeding.
When we compare Nara to other formulas, we only look at criteria that are significantly different between brands (like whole vs. skim milk) and that we think truly matter to parents. We never want to add to the overwhelm with a chart that feels like a trick.
Let's look quickly at what makes Nara's recipe unique, and then we'll offer direct comparisons to several brands, including Bobbie, Kendamil, and EU brand HiPP.

What makes Nara Organics different from other formulas?
Nara Organics is the formula that everyone at Nara wanted to feed their own babies. It's a unique recipe based on the latest infant nutrition science and the wholesome goodness of organic whole milk.
1. The most organic whole milk of any U.S. formula
Nara obtained a new FDA clearance to be able to use the highest amount of whole cow's milk in U.S. infant formula. Esther and the Nara team of scientists were determined to include as much natural milk fat as possible in our recipe. By using so much milk fat, we're able to use less oils.
2. No skim milk
Including the most milk fat possible means skipping skim milk altogether. Most U.S. formulas are based on skim milk. Even some other whole milk formulas use a mix of skim and whole milk. Nara is the first USDA organic formula to use zero skim.
3. Made in Germany to EU food safety standards
Where and how infant formula is made is just as important as the ingredients. Nara is an American formula made in Germany. We're FDA regulated and we meet both U.S. and EU food safety standards for infant formula. Even our facility in Germany is inspected by the EU and the FDA.

4. Tested to EU standards — and beyond.
Every batch of Nara Organics is tested to EU limits across thousands of contaminants, including heavy metals. We also run voluntary testing beyond EU requirements, and we’re tested and certified by the Clean Label Project. All results have been non-detect or well below daily limits. If you have Nara in your hands, it passed all requirements.
Comparing Nara to Bobbie, HiPP and Kendamil
Nara combines the best of European standards with the convenience of an American, FDA regulated formula. Nara is made in Germany, but it ships to you from the U.S. (not Europe), which means no tariffs and no delays. You can also find Nara at Target nationwide.
